Cebu Pacific A321-200 Flight Review: Cagayan de Oro to Manila

Last week, I featured my incoming flight to Cagayan de Oro, as well as my trip to the largest city in northern Mindanao. After spending a long weekend there, I flew on Cebu Pacific onboard their Airbus A321ceo back to Manila. This review focuses on the CEO  version, not the newer NEO  version. This is a three-part series of my trip to Cagayan de Oro; this is the third part, click here for Parts 1 (incoming flight) and 2 (main trip) .

Cebu Pacific A320neo Flight Review: Manila to Cagayan de Oro

Cebu Pacific is a low-cost airline that has long been featured on Enzo's Travel Journals since its inception in June 2024. Now on its 30th year of operation, it has continued to fly millions of passengers affordably from the Philippines to anywhere in the world. And this year, it flew me to Mindanao for the first time, specifically to Cagayan de Oro in the northern part of the country's second-largest airline. How does it feel flying with them again after 1.5 years ? Notes: This is a personal blog on our travel experience and is neither promoted nor endorsed by Cebu Pacific. THROWBACK 2022: A rightly handled delayed flight experience on Cebu Pacific (Iloilo to Manila)

Before I prepare things up for the new year, let me bring you to a flight down memory lane. It was 2022. COVID-19 travel restrictions were suddenly being loosened one by one. And that meant that people were having their "revenge travel". I was one of the millions of passengers who traveled again that year. But I want to share a story of how our delayed flight turned out to be not only handled properly, but a lucky one for me at the end of it. This is my experience onboard one of our domestic flights on Cebu Pacific  from Iloilo to Manila in July 2022. Notes: This is a personal blog on our travel experience and is neither promoted nor endorsed by Cebu Pacific. Exchange rates between currencies as of July 2022 were: 1 USD = 55.88 Philippine pesos Disclaimer: This blog features an old trip report which I only composed years after this site's inception in July 2024.

New Year's trip on Cebu Pacific to Singapore

The five days from December 28, 2024, to January 1, 2025, constitutes the longest possible "weekend" in a calendar year. Since my favorite season to travel is Christmas (and by extension, New Year), we took this opportunity to book a round-trip ticket via Cebu Pacific for my first year-end vacation outside the Philippines. An Airbus A321neo of Cebu Pacific parked at its gate at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 shortly before dawn on Saturday, December 28, 2024. My mom joined me in this vacation to Singapore . Notes: This is a personal blog on our travel experience and is neither promoted nor endorsed by Cebu Pacific. This blog is the first of five parts of our  2024 Singapore Year-End Trip , spanning from Days 1 to 4. See these links for Day 1 , Day 2 , Day 3 , and Day 4 . Exchange rates between currencies are: 1 Philippine peso = 0.017 USD and 0.023 SGD.

The Big Juan in the evening: Tokyo-Manila on Cebu Pacific (flight review)

Happy Friday the 13th! For those frequent viewers of my blog and my YouTube videos, you may remember when I published my June 2023 flight review on Cebu Pacific to Japan last November 2024 and other Cebu Pacific blogs in this site. Here we are again, onboard the Philippines' leading low-cost airline back home after my mom's sojourn autumn trip to Tokyo. Notes: This is a personal blog on our travel experience and is neither promoted nor endorsed by Cebu Pacific. See  this link  for the previous trip report on Jetstar. The author of this blog did not board this flight. Rather, my mom represented me due to my school classes. Exchange rates between currencies are as of December 2024: 1 Philippine peso = 0.0172 USD and 2.58 JPY.

Flying Cebu Pacific's Big Juan to Japan

On June 30, 2023, I flew on Cebu Pacific's Airbus A330 for the first time. Although my past low-cost flights are in narrow-body aircraft (like the A320/A321 to be exact, because I also flew with CEB in the past and  AirAsia more recently ), this is the first time I flew no-frills on a wide-body—the A330. A round trip with Cebu Pacific to Tacloban

In mid-November 2023, Cebu Pacific brought us to Tacloban — a city in the Eastern Visayas region of the Philippines — to commemorate the tenth anniversary of Typhoon Haiyan — also known as Super Typhoon Yolanda — which unfortunately claimed thousands of lives and made Tacloban — the most devastated city — a "ground zero". Note: This is a personal blog on our travel experience and is neither promoted nor endorsed by Cebu Pacific. Booking process We booked our flights as three months prior, in August, during a promo and seat sale. Initially, we planned an overnight vacation in Tacloban (November 18-19); the tickets, including extra fees, amounted to $97 (₱5,667) before upgrading it to three days after determining that my class week before this vacation (November 13-17) would only consist of the first three days, which were actually the dates of our periodical examinations. We paid an additional $96 (around ₱5,600) to rebook our departing flight a day earlier. Cebu Pacific has t...
